Around 1882, Spencer started a new company, the Spencer Arms Company, in Windsor, Connecticut. Its most remarkable product was likely the Spencer Pump-Action Shotgun. Produced between 1882 and 1889, this was the first commercially successful slide-action (or pump-action) shotgun.

Spencer 1882 replaces Pump Shotgun (non-chrome version). First succesful pump-action shotgun design. It hasn’t, to my knowledge, been seen in video game since Bioshock 1 (depends on, if you count multiplayer from second one).
Apr 13, 2011 · I just got a Spencer 1882 pump 12GA and I want to put a modern and shorter barrel on it . It is in good shape, but I don’t wont to damage the original damascus one. Can any one help me with this? I don’t have regular access to a computer and will get back to comments when I can.

Anne Spencer (1882–1975) Contributed by Nina Salmon Anne Spencer was a poet, a civil rights activist, a teacher, a librarian, and a gardener.
Spencer was born Annie Bethel Scales Bannister on February 6, 1882, in Henry County, Virginia. Her father, a sometime tavern-keeper of black and Seminole ancestry, often clashed with her mother, the daughter of a Virginia aristocrat and his slave mistress, and the couple separated when Spencer was five.
From 1882 to 1889 they manufactured the first successful slide action repeating shotgun. Designed by Christopher Spencer who also designed the Civil War era Spencer military carbines.

Feb 27, 2017 · I slipped off the forend on my third shot, the later Spencer’s and Bannerman guns had bigger forend for a better grip I use RST low pressure loads for all my vintage guns.
